- New Buffalo, like many lakefront communities suffered from flooding this year. The museum fell victim to heavy rains and a high water table. We lost all our utilities in the Museum depot basement (a/c, furnace, hot water). We have replaced all through insurance and a small grant. The incident did however put a strain on our finances.
